Detail Recap:

  • Find a way to do something better than the way it is now. Don’t blame saturation. Try. Do something the way you and people like you would like it.

  • Be honest about what you enjoy. Don’t copy others. Do you and be you. Even if it fails, you’ll be sticking it out because you love it.

  • Amy and Marques say Final Cut Pro is the way to go! Aftermarq says the Adobe suite. Mac users, start with iMovie. PCs use what comes standard on the computer.

  • Collaborate strategically. It should be a win-win-win! Great for you, the person you’re collaborating with and your audience.

  • Understand that the design of a photo (your thumbnail) can make or break a video.

Detail Recap:

  • It’s important to realize that sometimes the skills we have that come naturally or that we think are ‘ordinary’ are actually groundbreaking for other people. Figure out what you’re really good at and see if you can use it to build a life that allows you to do what you love.

  • Pro Tip: If you’re finding difficulty in keeping your organizing solutions in place, try relabeling your spaces. Use verbs instead of nouns. Change “bills” to “pay” to give your brain the reminder that an action needs to be taken with the stuff in that space.

  • Lingo has a book! 101 Clutter-Free Gifts: And Why You Want Them. It’s currently a kindle book on Amazon. Perfect timing for the holidays and smart gifting throughout the year.

Detail Recap:

  • Being great at something often starts when you think you’re worth of that greatness. When a person thinks and shows that they have an affinity and a talent for something other people will flock to them naturally. This isn’t always for personal gain either. Sometimes they just really like you.

  • Know when to work and when to play. If you’re going to work, work hard and give it all that you’ve got. When it’s time to decompress and destress, fully commit to that mindset in order to really recharge.

  • Try. Run. Gum. If you’re not an energy drink fan and you’re feeling a little bored with your coffee, Run Gum might be the answer for you. Not only does the gum seem awesome, the story behind its origin and creation is unique as well.

Detail Recap:

  • Managing friendships may not sound like a good thing to do but in reality it’s the perfect way to maintain contact with the important people in your life without sacrificing your sanity.

  • What kind of text-er are you? Do you text with intention or just to say “hello”? What does that say about the way you view and value your time and time of those with whom you speak?

  • Advice doesn’t always have to be cut and dried. It can be given and taken with a grain or two of salt depending on the person and the circumstances. Realizing that someone else’s circumstances may not align with your experience is a key element in giving thoughtful, actionable advice.

  • Exercise 20 minutes every day

  • Drink a big glass of water first thing in the morning. Matthew’s goal is 1 liter of water per day.
